Home Classbased Program
Some two-year-old students are enrolled in the home/class-based program and are provided intervention in a classroom environment for the number of hours specified on their Individualized Education Programs (IEP). In addition, teachers make one home visit per week. Related services, if identified on the IEP, are provided during class time.
This program provides children with opportunities to improve language, cognitive, self-help, motor and socialization skills.
Classbased Program
Some students, between the ages of three and five years, are enrolled in a class-based program and are provided intervention in a classroom environment for the number of hours specified on their Individualized Education Programs (IEP). Students generally attend half-day sessions five times a week. Related services, such as transportation, speech/ language therapy, occupational therapy (OT), and physical therapy (PT) are provided, if identified on the IEP. Home visits are usually scheduled twice each month. Classes meet daily from 12:00 to 3:15. A reverse mainstreaming program model is currently in use. Each class may include some “typically developing” peers.
