School Announcements

The PWC Support Group for Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders will hold their next meeting, from 7-9 p.m., on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 in the library of the Mullen Elementary School, located at 8000 Rodes Drive in Manassas. Guest speaker, Jillian Austin of Autism Outreach, Inc., will discuss at-home strategies for facilitating appropriate social interactions with siblings and peers. This support group is sponsored by the PWCS’ Office of Special Education Parent Resource Center.

Pre-registration is required. Sign and foreign language interpreter services are available, if requested by November 17. Childcare will not be available. To pre-register, call 703.791.8846 or visit www.pwcs.edu and click on How Do I? and select Find the Parent Resource Center.

School Schedule for Wednesday, December 23, 2009

Wednesday, December 23, 2009 will be an early dismissal day for PWCS.

Woodbine will operate on an adjusted schedule on that day.

Students who attend in the morning will be dismissed at 11:00. Buses will arrive at home approximately one hour earlier than usual on that day.

Students who attend in the afternoon will arrive at school at 11:00. Buses will pick up students approximately one hour earlier on that day.

Afternoon students will leave school at 1:15 on that day. Buses will arrive at home approximately 2 hours early on that day.
